PSHE
At St Anne’s we believe Personal, Social and Health Education should be tailored to the needs and demographics of our children and therefore is taught through the My Happy Mind Plus scheme. The vision of My Happy Mind is to ensure every child develops knowledge, skills and attributes they need to thrive, not only in school but in life. The aim of the My Happy Mind Plus curriculum is to…
- Build pupils’ confidence, resilience and empathy
- Equip them with strategies to manage their wellbeing and relationships
- Prepare them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of modern life
Our approach is grounded in the belief that PSHE is most impactful when it is:
- Consistent: taught regularly across the school in a structured sequence.
- Relevant: adapted to meet the needs of specific cohorts.
- Engaging: supported by high-quality, age-appropriate resources.
At St Anne’s PSHE is taught consistently and regularly across the school from EYFS to Year 6, in a structured sequence of weekly lessons.
Our curriculum is taught through three core themes: Health and Wellbeing, Relationships, and Living in the Wider World and is structured around five core modules: Meet Your Brain, Celebrate, Appreciate, Relate, and Engage.
